The Young Wanderer is in search of original content from young Canadians adding a fresh perspective on what it means to be a youth in Canada today. Entries will be published on the Young Wanderer’s website where the winner will be determined by the audience’s votes. The idea is to get as many new views on the challenges, aspirations, understandings and opinions of Canadian youth and to share these perspectives to their peers.


Accepted Content:

-Short Story or Essay (between 300 to 1,000 words)

-Poetry (Single poem or collection, up to 1,000 words total)

-Video (up to five minutes in length)

-Visual Artwork (including photography, painting, sketch, animation and other graphic mediums)


Deadline: All entries must be sent to the correct email or mail address before January 11, 2014. All submissions will be published on January 15, 2014 allowing for one month of voting before announcing the winner on February 15, 2014. After one month, the submission with the most “likes” will be declared a winner.
